In 1992, True Crime: Serial Killers and Mass Murderers trading cards were first created and written by Val Jones, with art by Jon B. Bright. The trading cards were a worldwide sensation, spawning hundreds of print, radio, and tv interviews, bans, protests, and imitators. Now they're back for the 30th anniversary this year! Jones and talented painter Kowe Rallen bring you thirty years of serial killers, mass murderers, and school shooters. Things are worse than ever.

I started out in comics, creating a successful small-press imprint and moving on to publishers where titles I edited included Miracleman, True Crime Trading Cards (creator/writer), Classics Illustrated, Clive Barker adaptations, Dragonriders of Pern, Deathdealer, and more. I have worked in comics as an editor, writer, artist, and publisher. I also worked on several projects to raise awareness and/or funds such as Born to Be Wild (PETA), Negro LeaguesTrading Cards, and AIDS Awareness Trading Cards. Then I branched into graphic design and project management for toys, animation, product packaging, marketing, political collateral, and more. I expanded into designing websites, emails, learning management systems, and apps. I've worked since 2001 in education, developing and creating print and digital materials for learning disabled adults and children, including textbooks, tests, and innovative teaching tools, and designing marketing materials.
My focus now is to use my skills and talents to teach others and try to leave the world a little better than when I arrived.
